Moulds for the Wilderness is a series of photographic and sculptural works inspired by the ambiguity and liminality of spaces Chow has encountered in his practice and daily life in Hong Kong. For him, spaces are never definite or clear, as what defines them is always subject to change or influenced by perceptions, forming a paradox between people’s desire to control and create a system in the uncontrollable, immeasurable world, which eventually becomes conflicts between humans over “definitions”.
